Young Ones Mobile Physiotherapy
These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between 'Young Ones Mobile Physiotherapy' and the parent(s), guardian(s), or carer(s) of any child receiving physiotherapy services from the Clinic.
By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Physiotherapy Services
'Young Ones Mobile Physiotherapy' provides private paediatric physiotherapy assessment, treatment, advice, rehabilitation, and related services for children and young people.
All physiotherapy services are delivered by appropriately qualified physiotherapists registered with:
the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Treatment recommendations are based on clinical judgement, assessment findings, and information provided by parents, carers, and relevant professionals.
2. Appointments
Appointments may be provided:
at home
remotely via telehealth/video consultation
Appointment times will be agreed in advance.
Parents or carers are responsible for ensuring that children attend appointments on time and are accompanied by an appropriate adult.
3. Fees and Payment
Fees for services will be provided via email once the 'contact us' form has been submitted.
Payment is due:
Prior to home visit
Prior to video consultation
The Clinic reserves the right to cancel appointments if there are outstanding balances due.
Additional charges will apply for:
travel
letters to heath professionals
4. Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy
We understand that circumstances can change; however, adequate notice is required for cancellations.
Cancellation Notice
Appointments are not confirmed until payment is complete. If you require to cancel the appointment, there will be no charge if more than 24 hours notice has been provided.
Should you need to cancel the appointment after payment is received, if within 24 hours of the appointment time a partial refund will be offered if the client does not wish to re-arrange the appointment. Otherwise the appointment can be re-arranged free of charge.
Should the therapist need to cancel the appointment due to illness or emergencies, a full refund will be arranged, or the appointment can be re-arranged as agreed by the client.
Non-Attendance
Failure to attend a visit (resulting in the therapist visiting your home and nobody being there) will not be refunded.This is due to the travel incurred and the missed opportunity to fill this time with another appointment.
Young Ones Mobile Physiotherapy reserves the right to discontinue services following repeated late cancellations or missed appointments.
5. Consent to treatment
Parental or legal guardian consent is required prior to assessment and treatment for children who are too young to consent for themselves.
By attending appointments, the client confirms that:
they have legal authority to consent for the child
information provided is accurate and complete
relevant medical information has been disclosed
The child or guardian has the right to withdraw consent at any time during the appointment
Children and young people will be involved in decisions about their care in an age-appropriate manner where possible.
6. Medical Information
Parents and carers must inform the therapist of:
relevant medical conditions
medication
injuries
infections
changes in the child’s health status
Failure to provide accurate information may affect treatment safety and effectiveness.
Where appropriate, information may be asked about the child's family. Where appropriate the privacy policy may be shared.
7. Safeguarding
Young Ones Mobile Physiotherapy has a professional duty to safeguard children and young people.
If the physiotherapist has concerns regarding the safety or welfare of a child, information may be shared with appropriate agencies in accordance with safeguarding legislation and professional obligations.
8. Confidentiality and Data Protection
All personal information is handled in accordance with:

CSP guidance
HCPC professional standards
Clinical records are maintained securely and confidentially through practice management software.
Information will only be shared with relevant professionals where appropriate and necessary for the child’s care, safeguarding, or legal obligations.

9. Reports and Communication
Written reports requested by parents, schools, solicitors, or other professionals may incur additional fees.
The therapist will aim to complete reports within a reasonable timeframe, subject to workload and receipt of necessary information.
Email communication is used for convenience; however, while reasonable precautions are taken, electronic communication cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Telehealth and Online Appointments
Where remote consultations are provided:
Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring a suitable environment
Internet connectivity and devices are the responsibility of the Client
Sessions must not be recorded without prior written permission
The therapist cannot guarantee that telehealth is suitable for every child or clinical presentation.
11. Limitation of Liability
While all reasonable care and professional standards are maintained, the therapist cannot guarantee treatment outcomes.
The therapist shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses
Delays caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control
Outcomes affected by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Client.
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where prohibited by law.
12. Infection Control
Parents/carers should not attend appointments if the child has:
a contagious illness
vomiting or diarrhoea (within the last 48 hours)
fever
other symptoms that may place others at risk.
The therapist may reschedule appointments where infection risk is identified.
13. Photography and Video
Photographs or videos for clinical purposes will only be taken with explicit written consent.
Images remain confidential clinical records unless otherwise agreed.
Parents/carers must not record sessions without prior permission from the physiotherapist.
14. Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Clinic reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be available on the Clinic website or upon request.
